A painter's mouse is a tiny rodent that gets tossed into the house to keep the cats busy while the painter cusses and spills paint all over the floor.
The painter let the mouse loose. The cat chased it. The painter painted. The cat got paint on its face.
I brought the mouse in. The cat went nuts. The painter said, 'Finally, some peace!'
