Pacific Overtures
A musical about Japan that white guys made, and it's awesome. It’s about some guy named Matthew who showed up in 1853 and basically told Japan to stop being a closed-off mess.
My history teacher called it the best musical ever. I called it a masterpiece. He called me a genius. I called him a fool.
I saw this show and cried. Not because it was sad. Because I was too tired to stop laughing.
I told my mom I was gonna fail math if I didn’t get into this show. She said I was gonna fail math anyway.
