Madden Catch
A defender thinks he just made the play of the century, only for the receiver to catch the ball before it hits the ground, making the defender look like a dummy. This is called a Madden Catch because it’s so common in the Madden games it’s like a running gag.
I thought I had the game won, but the receiver just caught the ball like it was a free throw.
I tried to make a big play, but the receiver caught the ball like I was a toddler.
