Haitian Standard Time
Haitian Standard Time is like telling the clock to go to hell and showing up when you feel like it. If someone tells you a party starts at 4, you probably show up at 5 or 5:30 because you’re too busy being lazy or arguing with your cousin.
The birthday party said 5, but I showed up at 6 because I had to argue with my sister about who got the last cake.
The church service was at 9, but I got there at 10 because I had to stop and eat a whole plate of fried plantains.
The wedding said 2, but I showed up at 3 because I had to stop and watch my favorite soap opera.
