dad nap
A nap that a dad takes in the evening before going to bed, usually in the recliner and usually between 8:00 and 11:00 PM, because he's too lazy to move and too proud to admit he's tired.
Dad: "I'm not taking a nap. I'm just resting." (He's been in the recliner since 8:00 PM.)
Mom: "He took a dad nap again."
Dad: "I'll be up in 5 minutes." (It's 2:00 AM.)
