The arts program at Gibbs High that’s so good, it’s basically a college prep class. You have to work your ass off to stay in it. If you’re not good at art or school, you get kicked out like a piece of trash.
I got kicked out of PCCA because I failed math. I cried. My mom laughed.
My friend got a letter from Juilliard. I got a letter saying I was ‘a piece of trash.’
They said I was ‘not good enough’ and I said, ‘I’m the best, you’re the worst.’
