Pairwise Randomization
A fancy way of saying the tournament organizers are too lazy to do the math and just guess who will win.
The ref picked 1 to play 7 because he thought 8 was a drunk kid who might pass out.
They randomized the draw because the computer was broken and the guy who ran it was high.
They flipped a coin and called it pairwise randomization because they didn't want to admit they were cheating.
