p-51 mustang
The P-51 Mustang was the best American plane in WWII. It was like a fighter plane with a side of bombs, but it got too heavy and had to hand over that job to the P-47. It was a long-distance hero, fighting high up in the sky and making sure bombers got to Germany and back without getting roasted.
My grandpa flew a P-51 and said it was the only plane that could outlast a German tank.
I’d rather be shot by a German bullet than be stuck in a P-47.
That Mustang was like a bull in a china shop, but with wings and a mean streak.
