The plural of octopus, but only if you’re trying to sound smarter than you actually are. It’s like adding 's' to 'dog' and calling it 'doges'.

My teacher said I had to use the word octopods in my essay. I failed it and cried.

I thought I was being cool using octopods, but my friend just laughed and called me a nerd.

I used octopods in my speech and got a D. My dog got a B.
