Occam's Taser
A rule that says you shouldn't use a taser unless you're absolutely sure the person is a complete idiot. Tasing someone for being late is a waste of electricity.
He tased his friend for being 10 minutes late. That was overkill.
She tased her teacher for making a typo. That was ridiculous.
I tased my mom for forgetting my lunch. That was unfair.
