Obvious Distraction
A fake thing you wave around to get people to look at it like it’s the end of the world. You do this so you can run off and do something stupid or avoid getting in trouble.
I showed them a giant rubber chicken so I could hide from my mom.
I made them stare at a guy wearing a banana costume so I could eat their ice cream.
I waved a sign that said 'Fart' so I could run away from my teacher.
