A symbol (†) used to point to things or show someone’s dead. It’s also used in old books to say something is fake. Like a medieval version of a fake review.
The book had a † next to the part where the knight turned into a chicken. Something was definitely fake.
My history teacher put a † next to my test. I was like, 'You think I’m fake?'
In my mom’s old cookbook, there was a † next to a recipe that said 'burned cake.' That was a real thing.
