Habesha
Habesha is a word that Eritreans and Ethiopians use to call themselves. It’s also a word that Sudanese people use to call Eritreans and Ethiopians, which is just weird.
My Habesha friend said Sudanese people are weird for calling us Habesha.
I think Habesha is just a word people use to feel fancy.
My Habesha uncle said Sudanese people called us Habesha because they thought we had ‘burned faces’.
