Fad-fans are people who don’t think for themselves. They follow whatever is popular just so they can feel like they belong, even if they don’t know what they’re following.
‘I follow this person because my best friend follows them. I don’t even know who they are.’
‘I bought a membership to this dumb app because it was trending. I haven’t used it once.’
‘I quit my favorite game because the new one was trending. I even bought it.’
