Dabbling is when you act like you do something all the time, but you really only do it sometimes. You’re faking it.
I dabble in gaming. I only play on weekends, but I tell people I play all day.
He dabbles in sports. He only plays on Monday, but he says he plays every day.
She dabbles in music. She only sings when she feels like it, but she says she sings all the time.
