B-Boying started in the Bronx when some guy named Kool Herc played music in a way that made people go nuts. He played the beats without the lyrics. People danced to it, so they called them break boys and break girls.
My friend's dad was a break boy in the 70s and still hates rappers today.
My uncle used to do a spin and a flip and people thought he was a superhero.
My grandpa says he was a break boy before the word 'b-boy' existed.
