OCD is the worst mental illness ever. It’s like the devil gave you a list of annoying things to do, like washing your hands until they’re raw, because you’re terrified of germs. You can’t even pet your dog without washing your hands again, and people will laugh at you like you’re a freak.
I washed my hands 20 times before I could eat breakfast.
I had to reorganize my entire sock drawer because one sock was sideways.
I got a panic attack because my cereal was slightly off-center.

OCD is like having a tiny, annoying robot in your brain that won’t shut up. It makes you scratch your face in a specific order, and if you mess it up, you go nuts. It’s a real thing, not just someone being weird.
I scratched my left cheek 5 times, then my right cheek 5 times, and then both at the same time.
I had to check my backpack 10 times before I left for school.
I counted my steps 3 times just to be sure I didn’t make a mistake.

OCD is not an adjective. It is a full-on mental illness. People say things like, ‘Oh, you have OCD? That’s cute.’ But it’s not cute, it’s like having a tiny, angry monster inside your head that won’t stop bugging you.
My teacher said, ‘You have OCD? That’s adorable.’ I wanted to punch her.
My brother called me ‘crazy’ because I straightened my pencils before class.
My mom said I was ‘overreacting’ when I had to fix my bed twice.

OCD is when your brain thinks you’re forgetting everything. It’s like your brain is a messy room and everything has to be perfect or you lose your mind. If one can is out of line, you go full-on panic mode.
I had to fix my pencil case because one pencil was out of place.
I left my house because I thought I forgot to turn off the lights, even though I checked 4 times.
I couldn’t sleep because my brain was screaming at me about my messy room.

OCD is a mental illness that makes you think crazy things, like you’re going to hurt yourself or your family. You get depressed. You get angry. You become a different person. You can’t stand things that aren’t symmetrical.
I thought I was going to stab my little brother because he was annoying me.
I got depressed because my shoes weren’t lined up just right.
I became a different person after I started counting everything.

OCD makes you act weird. You look like you’re daydreaming, but you’re really just stuck in your own little world. You get distracted, lazy, or just plain annoying.
My teacher thought I was daydreaming, but I was just trying to count my fingers.
I looked lazy because I was fixing my desk for the 10th time.
I got called annoying because I wouldn’t stop straightening my folders.
