When you're stuck in a bathroom with no toilet paper and you're too lazy to go find some, so you grab whatever piece of fabric is closest to you, like your roommate's socks, a shirt, or even a towel, and you wipe your ass with it like it's the last thing you'll ever do.
I took a dump and had no TP. My roommate's socks were the only thing left. I used them like they were gold.
I ran out of paper, so I grabbed my girlfriend's shirt and wiped my ass with it. She still wears it.
