A chunk of land in northern Greece that has the same name as a formerly tiny country that got a new name and is also called Vardaska, which has nothing to do with the Greek chunk of land called Macedonia.
My geography teacher said Macedonia Region is just a fancy name for a place that got confused with a country that used to be tiny and had a name change.
I asked my mom what Macedonia Region was, and she said, 'It's where the Greeks got mad about a country's name.'
My friend said the Macedonia Region is like a middle finger from Greece to a country that changed its name for no reason.
