A dad movie is when a dad watches a movie so bad it makes your eyes bleed and tells you to watch it because he thinks it's the best thing since sliced bread. These movies usually have middle-aged guys punching each other like they're in a bar fight and then falling in love with some woman who looks like she just walked out of a beauty pageant.
My dad made me watch this movie and said it was 'the best one ever.' It had a guy punching a guy and then they both cried. I cried because I was mad.
Dad: 'This movie is so good, I watched it 10 times.' Me: 'You watched it 10 times because it was the only movie you could find.'
My dad said this movie was 'epic.' I said 'it was a middle-aged guy fighting a guy in a park and then they kissed.'

A sad dad movie is when the dad is trying so hard to be cool, but the kid just wants to die. Usually happens when the dad is divorced or single and tries to hang out with his kid, but the kid thinks he's the worst dad ever. It's like the dad is doing everything right, and the kid just won't stop being a brat.
My dad tried to hang out with me after he got divorced, but I said 'you're the worst dad ever.' He cried. I said 'you're still the worst dad ever.'
My dad tried to reconnect with me by watching this sad movie. I said 'why are you crying? I'm not even sad.'
